The reason is simple ‘First come first served.’
Some of our group members have already started expressing their interest in certain types and sizes of the unit that they would be interested in, once the project is launched.
To be fair to everyone we need to have a policy based on fairness and transparency.
All unit allocations shall be on merit based on seniority. Those who enrol in this program first will have the greater probability of getting what they want.
For example, if we are able to acquire a block consisting of 200 units, and assuming that 50 units are based on studio configuration, whereas 50 units consist of 1 BR, 50 units are 2BR and remaining 50 consist of 3BR units.
Assuming that 75 of our members show their inclination to get a studio unit, whereas we only have 50 of them available. In such a scenario whoever registers first will get the priority over those who enrolled later. The remaining 25 members will be offered the next available option, which is, 1BR units. Similarly, if 75 of our members show their interest for 1BR units but we only have 50 of them available. Those who registered first will be given preference in allocating the units. The remaining 25 will be offered the next available option, such as 2BR units or bigger, and so on and so forth.
Thats why it is highly recommended that all those group members who are ready to participate in this program to please register by filling the ‘Needs Survey Form’ already posted on this group earlier. The link is also provided on our group website under ‘Resources’ tab.
Their order of registration will determine member’s priority for the type of condo unit they would like to have and will increase their chances of getting one they want. We need to be transparent and fair to all group members, so please don’t wait till the last moment.
Our Advisory Board is exploring all its options currently available in the market. Soon we will be able to short list most suitable options for our group members that meet our selection criteria for a Muslim Seniors Residence program.
