How can we expedite the launch of this program?

People often ask ‘when this project is likely to be launched? And the answer is ‘whenever we have enough numbers.’

The sooner we have enough numbers the better it will be in everyone’s favour by taking advantage of current condo market meltdown. We are currently reviewing projects according to our selection criteria before we can present them to our members for their consideration.

It is expected that more than 40,000 new condo units are due for completion in 2025 alone. Most of these units belong to investors who either wanted to sell them for profit or at least would like to rent them out till the market gets better, which will take some time as the things are going.

As mentioned earlier, our main focus is to acquire a project, which has been temporarily suspended/abandoned by the builder for lack of customers. We believe that it is in the best interest of both, the builders as well as the financial institutions, to sell these units even at discounted prices in order to avoid accruing interest charges as well as managements costs over time further adding to the cost, which will ultimately eat into their profit margin over time.

However, we need to have a group of people large enough to support this endeavour, consisting mostly of retirees or those close to retirement, who want to take advantage of current condo market and use it as their retirement home. The larger our group, the better our bargaining position will be with the builder to secure a better price for our members. Our role is to facilitate this entire process.

We believe every group member can play an important role by spreading the word in the community and create awareness about it. We understand that some people might need time to study, scrutinize and accept this concept before taking their next step.

Retirees and empty-nesters are most likely to benefit from this program and can play their role in promoting it by adopting following means:

1. Those who have already registered can help by inviting their peers to join in by explaining to them advantages of Muslim community living for seniors.
2. Those who have already joined our group but are not yet ready to take the next step can help by sharing information about group’s objectives with their friends and colleagues and invite them to join.
